On October 24, 2016, the Writers’ Associations from both the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot sides under the auspices of the Technical Committee on Culture, organized an evening of poetry and music at Casteliotissa.

Throughout the event, poets recited their works in Greek and Turkish, celebrating the island’s rich literary traditions. Adding to the evening’s artistic ambiance, two talented young singers, one Turkish Cypriot and one Greek Cypriot student from the ARTE Musical Academy, delivered a captivating musical performance. Accompanied by piano, their program featured selections from opera arias, seamlessly blending classical music with the evocative power of poetry.
