On May 6, 2016, the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra, in partnership with young Turkish Cypriot musicians, performed Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons at the Pallas Theatre in Nicosia, under the auspices of the Technical Committee on Culture.

The concert was visually enriched with projections of photographs depicting the four seasons across the island of Cyprus, captured by both Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot photographers.

In their opening remarks, co-chairs Kani Kanol and Androulla Vasiliou emphasized the vital role of art in fostering collaboration among young artists, highlighting its potential to build mutual trust and cooperation.

This harmonious evening not only celebrated the island’s rich cultural heritage but also demonstrated the power of music and art in promoting reconciliation and understanding between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots.
